CRIPPLING FREEDOM
My environment, clouds my mind
Sights,
Sounds,
A fugue,
Confiscated time
Lost in a loop,
Lost in nature's sublime
To wait for guidance is folly
Compass cracked, increased melancholy
I require a map,
A benchmark to track,
A direction,
A starting point, where?
I have not the knack
Wilderness so vast,
To stay lost or follow a path,
The necessary decision drains my identity,
My vision,
Sound judgement,
Ah, repeated feelings of the past,
My heart crumbles at last,
My dreams aghast,
Downcast
A third option I seek,
A path of my own,
To trail blaze these landscapes,
Cartography, adventure, a home
I need not others needs,
I need my own creed,
Because it's me
Lost in the wilderness,
It's oh so tragically me
To stake one's claim,
Liberating indeed
A thought that cripples,
A thought that frees.

Poetry for the fun of it. Don't look too deep into the lyrics and just listen to the words sing.
Happy writing. :-)
