Yes and no

Then up and down

Life’s endless ride

Merry go round

Can’t make it stop

Enjoy the pace

To stay on top

To win first place

I can’t keep up

Stamina failed

When is enough

Let the ship sail

To sell your soul

Not worth the cost

Struggle and toil

It’s all but lost

Begin again

Another day

Another game

You shouldn’t play

But play, you do

It’s second hand

Nothing to prove

The crowd demands

You give it all

All that you can

You have to crawl

Before you stand

Then crawl again

As you concede

You made the plan

It made you think

This endless ride

This senseless game

To say goodbye

Don’t cost a thing

    Good poem.

  • "Don't cost a thing"--except for tomorrow & whatever comes next. And sometimes that seems a small price to pay.
