it hits you like this

crackle crackle

the quick feeling

of pain

pop

and then pain...

laughter... even though it hurts

laughter... again

a rub on a rug

then touch

pop pop

crackle crackle

pop pop

you see it on cotton

in the dark

waves of sparks

little lightnings

pop pop

crackle crackle

light blue pale blue

off white

like magic

and you're the wielder

but in truth

you're the conductor...

washed clothes

fresh out of the dryer

socks stick together

pull them

pop

crack

ow it hurts

still laughing...

sometimes the pop is intense

feels like an electric shock

one loud

cracking

sound

one fingertip

a jolt through the whole body

where does it come from

a flash... a pop... a jolt

a crackle...
