We turned on a cartoon for the time being while we figured out the plan for the rest of the night. We laughed and joked as we watched, the warmth of her laughter filling the room like a ray of sunshine on a cold winter's day.

As the night wore on, the storm showed no signs of letting up. And we still wanted to eat. Thankfully, Michelle had frozen pizza, cookie dough, and ice cream in her freezer.

Even though being in her presence was enough, I was still hungry. I hadn’t eaten all day. And it would be some more bonding time for us.
