Covid-19 Slam Poetry

Allow me to ignore the list of words I cannot say...

Fuck the censorship we're faced with every hour of the day.

It's not just masks that are over the mouths of people worldwide -

Pushed aside and told to stay silent, the masses choose to hide

in the comforts of their homes, swallowing the bait,

lacking money for bills, yet still they worship Gate,

praying daily for a vaccine to come save us all,

while the faithful cannot even pray inside of church walls.

What's society come to? It hasn't even been a year

since they took away our freedom, but already people do not care?

Huh? I'm the conspiracy theorist?

Okay, so what are all the people who conspire against your dearest?

Are my lyrics too factual that I must be banned?

If freedom of speech is real, then I don't understand

how anybody can be censored and how people can be jailed

for a post on social media - society has failed.
