Covert

Angel (Hazbin Hotel) not my art

Covert, I cannot remember the exact feeling that overflowed my head when I read that verse

It was a exhalation of something so hopeful

As I was hopeless in my tired heart

I lingered by the end of the ocean waiting for the wind to carry me into that beautiful feeling again

The humming of the soft air that flows through the ocean waves

Makes me sick with this feeling of loneliness

I’m around many others all the time but it is

you

That I really have a heavy heart for

I secretly write your name in the fog of some glass

I have no legitimate reason to believe you feel the same but it doesn’t sit right with me

I just can’t stop thinking that you might be right there with me

Those covert things we all feel

But misplace

I’ve taken to writing by the sea

Immediately I get sick with panic,

Covert, I’m dying in a panic

I’m a coward, I’m a coward

Baby, I’m lost beyond all measure

Red dappled moon, once alive with bright pale milky light

I cannot bring myself to remember that moment of exhalation

The pain that is rubbed on the old hope is too deep

Covertly locked up

Like my bubbled up love for you

Waiting for the sea to rise and swallow me up

So I can’t feel the grand fall anymore,

So I can’t feel the grand fall

Anymore.
