Could it Be?

Halloween

By Twisted_PandoraPublished 4 years ago • 1 min read

Could it be, is it truly...

Halloween?

My hopes are high, with a gleam in my eye,

I fear I got butterflies!

It's a special time- you see- when ghost

Are free to arise,

And the smell of fear is high,

My body quivers, as if it's alive,

But my pets- I've collected a few- might seem obscene...

To the likes of you.

But I wish you wouldn't scream,

When you've come to my screen.

It's quite ghastly,

Though they may be missing a limb or a spleen, and might be a bit unsightly.

It's how I obscured so many ticks and treats for you!

Would you care for a few?

But if you are unsatisfied, shall I open the door?

I've got plenty room for more.

We can be a family!

I'm ever so welcoming!

Just watch out for the gore.

Come, now, don't be such a bore!

I can hear your heart beating,

Like it's a chore,

It's a thump that keeps repeating,

Sending my ears ringing!

Shall we give it a rest?

Don't protest,

I believe it's for the best,

If you'd come and take a rest.

And my pets! They do like to play,

What do you say?

I think you'd make the prefect guest!

If you're ever so inclined, to be swayed,

could you come in this way?
