Cosmic Trails

Following the path of spaces mysterious travelers

You see me soar over the darkened night sky,

Watching as I glitter like a prismatic firefly.

I'm always on the move with nothing in my way,

If you ever see me its your very fortunate day.

Little time do I spend just about your blue world,

For if I did my path would forever be curled.

My trip is a long one with no destination in sight,

But when you spot me there is no need for fright.

I'm merely a chunk of ice or hard rocks,

Which in time burns away since time never locks.

So make memories of me for I am but an instance,

For within a few million years I will be a nonexistence.
