wobbly world

My ballet teacher says it's okay to be wobbly because the world is a bit wobbly right now --

Going for a walk in the neighborhood

saying hello to the neighbor with the Doberman

Alcohol -

Glass of Wine

a dollop of wine

Glass of wine

I reach for the wine, contemplating whether or not I should take a sip , so I can pretend I'm a real writer as I sit in front of the computer for the umpteenth time in the day, scouring the daily news

I contemplate getting a tattoo -

a fake one with a butterfly design

I message my friends - the one in Delaware, the one in the Bay Area in Oakland, the one in Canada (in the remote hinterland region, the name of which I can't pronounce or recall)

I create a playlist so I don't go crazy in my room during this very difficult time - as everyone has been saying

Monotony,

Creativity ,

Ennui,

Happiness,

Self-discovery

The whole cycle repeats, as if I'm in some tragic Greek play.
