COPING

 To change the word

 ^^**

 Whenever I find it necessary

To find a way to cope,

I sit with fingers on my keyboard

And change the word to “hope”.

 **^^

 Whenever I’ve lost someone dear

I find a just reward

By praying that he’s happy

In the arms of our dear Lord.

 ^^**

I look for silver linings when

The dark clouds come around.

I concentrate on good things

And try not to sit and frown.

 **^^

When the thunder in the distance

Promises a storm,

I recall the budding roses who

Without the rain will lose their form.

 ^^**

Without a little rain to fall

We’d never know the sun.

Without life’s little heartaches,

We’d be sure to miss the fun.

 **^^

 The good and bad would shape one form;

We’d never have to cope.

Emotions would be barren

If we never had to hope.
