Closing my eyes

looking deep inside myself

Taking each thought and breath one moment at a time

Feeling the tingling sensation in my toes and fingers as they leave my body

The oil,

on my skin shimmering with white diamonds

as I glance down at my legs

While I write my thoughts here today

In my journal,

for me to only read and for the ones I want to share

Talking to a good friend over tea and a delicious treat

Hiking,

my favorite trail and looking above the city as I make it to the top and look at the beauty of it all around me

Watching

one of my favorite movies that makes me laugh so hard my belly hurts

Taking a nap and just resting my body and mind

These are a few things that keep me going while battling depression
