Convulse Esophagus

Biting off more than you can chew

Don’t swallow it whole, this task -

It dissolves with so much difficulty - and then, that hole

Stretched just big enough to accept my body.

Trepidation forced through teeth, muscles, passages -

Re-establishing the focused forest, and then...

A turned head to follow a swaying leaf, to a gaping mouth swallowing,

Convulse esophagus! See my digressions

That mix up in uneasy stomachs, forced and restless; it's there that

I lost the road, but it's there I found the path

Outside of those confining, muscular passages, in a series of

Necessary diversions, to bend to will and swallow it in pieces.
