Some nights she would sit in front of her window.

Gazing up at the moon with all its glory and glow.

The house was quiet and no one was ever there.

She didn’t seem to find being alone as a scare.

As the moon poured its light down into her space.

She admired its charm that put a smile on her face.

She at times would decide to speak when she felt blue.

She didn’t even care if the moon ever spoke to.

It was good to talk about the things that felt lifted.

She believed that it was the talk of the gifted.

One day she was sitting in her quiet tomb.

Looked out the window to see the glowing moon.

She began to say thank you for the smile returned.

And then closed her eyes and began to hear words.

When she opened her eyes to look for a stranger.

She turned her head and scanned for any danger.

She then turned back to the window again.

Looking up at the moon she thought “It’s all pretend?”

Until the voice then spoke yet another sequence of words,

“Thank you for talking, it feels good to be heard.”

She was shocked for a moment before she replied,

“Did you just speak to me? Or is this a trick of my mind?”

Seconds then passed for a moment and then two.

She was puzzled and thought “I wonder but who?”

From that day on when night would fall through.

She would find herself alone with nothing better to do.

This is the story of a girl found late at night in her room.

Next to her window carrying conversions with the moon.
