Control

I don't want to be controlled.

By Benita GonzalezPublished 7 years ago 1 min read
What does freedom taste  like

You want control of me

But I won't let you take the last piece of who I am away

So much pain,

So many stabs in the back

So many stitches

But still I stand

You want control of me

All of me

So I let you believe it

So I don't have to hurt anymore

I obey like a dumb little girl

Just to be belittled

Control freak

And crybaby

Isn't that grand

I'm not sure where I stand anymore

So I walk

Down these empty roads

Hoping

Wishing

Wanting

A better outcome

Clinging to the last pieces of myself.
