Contradictions of a Complex World

A reflection on human nature, knowledge, and the paradoxes of society.

By Marcelinus ApakhadePublished 5 days ago 1 min read

I love how vast the world is.

I love how inexperienced we are.

I love how single-minded we are.

I love how we use limited views to argue and disagree.

I love how easy it is to conclude with just a single perspective.

I love how simple it is to shut down someone with limited knowledge.

This is where I find myself:

A world where a lot happens,

But little is known.

A world where much goes on,

But only a few things are acknowledged.

Before religion, there was knowledge.

Why is yours tied to religion?

Before now,

There were doctrines.

Why think now? Why begin now?

I come from a country where immunity to crime is a must-have skill.

I come from a country where your driving skills determine your level of madness.

I come from a country where crime is the ladder to success.

I come from a country where we openly sell our destiny and that of our unborn.

I come from a country where we all must eat the national cake, but nobody is ready to contribute to baking it.

I come from a country where there's hope, but to survive better, you must Japa.

I come from a country where we shout culture but don't understand our traditions and norms.

I come from a country where it is easier to celebrate our oppressors than to elevate our heroes.

I come from a country where "come" means "going" and "go" means "coming."

I come from a country where people don't understand the function of lawmakers.

I come from a country that doesn't comprehend its system of government.

I come from a country of four divisions, and within each division, there are more divisions.

I come from a country that speaks pidgin but opts to use French as a second language.

Yep - this resonates clearly: A world where a lot happens, But little is known. A world where much goes on, But only a few things are acknowledged.
