Consequences

I was lied to as a child

As a child, we were told, 'Go to school, get an education, become what you want. Get a career in what you love so it's not actually working. It's more of doing what you love with a bonus of a pay cheque.'

Unfortunately, that's not how the world works for the most part.

What does that even mean?

Means that you can't get what you always want.- It's unrealistic to earn a liveable wage on your hopes and dreams. Sometimes what you want to do doesn't actually work out.

As an adult, you are required to pay a subscription to survive: housing, food, transportation. All basic human needs that someone must pay for.

Sometimes you have to take any work to just be able to survive.- there’s consequences if you don’t make enough, work enough or even work at all.

The consequences of not enough money is losing your home or not being able to survive. You can’t even win at death. Death also has a subscription to pay for.

Being an adult is just full of consequences rather than the freedom we were promised.
