Conflict and resolution

Mom cried and broke the plates;

But it isn’t scary.

It's like a kid wanting something

Desperately.

But dad says one line

With no sharp words,

No high-pitched sound;

And the silence grows loud.

The words are

Like a blunt sword that cuts with it's weight,

Like a dull stone that costs millions.

Silence isn’t a friend of the universe,

And each one of us wants to break it.

I wanted to break it;

But I didn’t because it would break me.

But someone

Will say a joke over tea

And look at everyone's face until they smile.

Someone

Will take the courage to break themselves

To break the silence.

And the unbearable noise of silence

Will become sound,

Conversation,

Music.
