My dad emits cruelty

after acting out quite mean

one dark and twisted eve

while we were a young traveling family

I won’t bore you with the gore since

there’s two therapists already onboard

but I haven’t been as creative since

so I hope to soon snap out of it

because I miss writing poetry

as well as innocence

laughter

and feeling

now only disappearing

Thanks for reading this piece about a trauma that was recovered by my brain about abuse I faced at the hands of my dad when I was a pre-teen.
