Comfortably oblivious to stairs
Living above the ground level of life
Proceeding around triangles and squares
Avoiding any repetitious strife
Every Apple product but no apples
Except the iPhone whatever it weighs
The keto diet wins all my battles
Near fruitless nutrition in comfort pays
Inner solace is another story
There are too many runaway constraints
So much about no personal glory
When the tally includes no tactile saints
I open my eyes and close them again
Comfort may be inherent to the brain
*****
Comfort seems to be fleeting even in poetry's tending
Unless the words are comforting far beyond any ending

The final two lines constitute a mantinada, which typically consists of a Cretan 15-syllable rhyming couplet.
