Comfort's Paradigm
The importance of moments
The fur,
The purr,
A deep contented sigh;
The cat has a nap
Curled up on my lap,
The dog rests his head on my thigh.
With just a look,
I put down my book,
Seeing soft faces in repose;
My heart is full,
I feel the pull
As my own eyelids begin to close.
Each in our places,
With sweet, sleepy faces,
A beautiful refill for my soul;
To snuggle and hug,
Set down the cocoa in a mug,
Savor the moment as a whole.
So true in Life,
We deal with strife,
And forget to take the time;
To relax in ease,
Melt in the breeze,
In comfort’s paradigm.
