Meatballs, bacon, cheese
The tantalizing smell of dinner in the oven;
Making pie filling and trying to create the perfect crust lattice.
Split pea soup, mashed potatoes, bacon, toast
Mixing spices, thickening stews, slicing vegetables;
Cinnamon frosting in the mixer, with from scratch cake.
Kiwi, cucumbers, bacon, cookies, cake
Baking ham in the oven, crusty rolls, and holiday fun;
Sliced watermelon with hotdogs blackening on the grill.
Crackers, ice cream, chips, bacon, spaghetti
The smell of drying rosemary and pancakes sizzling in the pan;
Hot chocolate with marshmallows and the sound of popcorn popping.
Cashews, candy, bacon, peanut butter
Coming home to delicious dinner made and family-
…and bacon.
