What is this rising crashing storm?
What is that rolls in on boiling clouds?
Thundering through me like I am nothing but a vessel of emotional tides
The rocking and crashing getting louder
It won't subside
Finding the cracks and crevasses deep within
Eroding the edges
Stop!
Cease!
Let me breathe for god’s sake let me take in a breath
Agitated and raw
Feeling too much today
A sudden word
A flash that cannot be named
Sitting down the random words flow out
They become a sentence
A phrase
A paragraph
The feelings flow deeply into the words
The storm begins to ease.
Comfort begins
Finding my place in the keys of my device
Filling the pages with the day’s stormy night
Sighing I feel boiling clouds subside
The calming comfort begins as I sit to write
Allowing the storm to flow across the keys
Letting the feelings out to be seen
Writing is my heart, my creative comfort feeling space.
Finding comfort in the storm is a strange place.
But comfort in the words as they flow is straight from my heart
My comfort is in writing allowing it all to flow.

How the Harvest Mouse Came to Suisun Bay
A long, long time ago there was a family of harvest mice. Mice are common, but these were unique – born to those who had lived in the salty, marshy bay for many generations, these mice ate and drank from the sea as well as the land and rivers. For generations, there were only the southern families, scattered along the marshes of Corte Madera and in the San Francisco Bay (U.S. Fish & Wildlife, 2013). One family, however, would undergo strife and conflict before reaching a whole new world. What became of them after is another tale entirely – but this is how their story begins.
