Texas weather was like that, you know!
Sunny at ten am but pelting down hail by afternoon.
But her life was kind of like that, too.
==========================
And between the crappy mold build up
and the spiderwebs,
the old barn was impossible to clean.
==========================
Like the barn, her moral compass
seemed to always point South of late.
It seemed like she was in a season of discontent.
==========================
No amount of vanilla candles or hot baths
seemed to ease the tension
or erase the facts of her life.
==========================
But she was no quitter,
So, she determined to eradicate the pesty mold
and take down the spiders!

Gorgeous poem and I loved the image too. 'It seemed like she was in a season of discontent.' was a sad but great line. 'No amount of vanilla candles or hot baths seemed to ease the tension or erase the facts of her life.' Too true in so many instances but a really well written stanza.
This was extremely powerful and optimistic! Well done all using all 5 words!
I really liked this one. I like how you incorporated all five of Poppy's prompts and yet it all made sense in a creative sort of manner!!! Wonderful work, Shirley!!!
I particularly like the first stanza here. Where did you get this compass, it's such a great idea!
A great poem with all five word prompts… love the pic too!😃
