Come Home

Poetry

God, Home, Life, Hope

I’ll come for you in your darkness

Wearing only the armor of God

I will swim to you in your pool of tears

Just to turn your face to a smile from a sob

Don’t you hear my cry for you?

I am begging you to come home

I left the porch light on before sleep

To let you know I am still here and have not roamed

My heart is aching with you

I dream of your actions

We are bound in this lifetime child

Glued together despite abundant distractions

It is time now

You must come home to me

Because you if don’t turn around right now

I don’t know where you’ll be

Come home, please.
