Colour me in

with precision and heed

Colour me in,

black and white

decisive, headstrong

no more prone to unravelling

past choices. Remember,

leave room

for some

warmer hues,

a tinge of orange,

a bucketful of yellow,

I want bright optimism

to be a part of me, too

please, and splash in some blue,

for some dose of serene calm

will always be welcome

and also, submerge

my feet in green

so I will become

closer with nature,

maybe even, a wearer

of daisy wreaths.

In all this, include red,

the kind that fills your cheeks

making bold passion

my name. If you include

these, with precision and

heed, I think I will turn out alright,

but the question is, will you still

be there, to see?
