if eyes cannot define

words couldn’t see

ears wouldn’t feel

and hands couldn’t hear

is it the silhouette that outlines the night?

electrified sounds that play into lights’ midnight games and frights, absorbing all it is.

an abyss full of dark loneliness, where the pupil in the center of your eye sits.

how do you know it’s black?

is it the light of day?

as snows complexion grows cold, albino is not abnormal.

and dandelions’ soft skin flakes on by.

while swans fluffy wings, ruffle in bleach.

how do you know it’s white?

would it spark or sweeten?

igniting a flame that touches you, radiating heat.

burning to the sizzle of raw meat, eatin’ chili’s.

a cherries or strawberries’ succulent sap, you chew.

the taste is red. is it not?

would it spread across the world?

the open sky, the deep sea.

water enticed by wind wavering.

lapis coolness, signals it’s swoon.

a loved one leaving, as a hand you cannot grasp consumes you.

the feeling is blue. is it not?

if black was now white.

and weddings would be death.

if we inverse the world of colors.

angels wore black lace on their neckline.

and demons displayed dismay in white attire.

if blue was now red.

and the sky bled and roses were azure.

if we switch up the scripts we read.

the aquatic life would be a fiery red glow.

the sign to stop would be blue, you know

was it the warmth of hope?

daffodil, honey, the days are so sunny.

liberated from red and green, now a slow speed.

hesitate the glowing fate, of what the future awaits.

from the streetlight to the school bus.

who decides yellow is this way?

was it the earthy raw texture?

a vibrant leaf from a birch tree.

natures melody of grass and some veggies.

money so envious of its’ essence it steals weeds.

and puts a price tag on emeralds and evergreens.

who decided green is jealousy?

if yellow was now green.

and petals are lime, stems are blonde.

patience becomes waiting;

β€œi’ve done this already” replaying.

dΓ©jΓ  vu of greed that persuades you, to taste this amber misleading drink.

fooled by delusions of gold materials, you sip on this addictive natural green absinthe.

why’s it the soothing tranquility?

a sigh of relief, clean sheets, and sleep.

the blend of lavender and amethyst,

spirituality that sends you into bliss.

wisdom from plums teachings;

turning bitter into sweetness.

does it feel like purple?

why’s it the zesty energy?

the speedy flutter of a monarch butterflies flying.

the rejuvenated tang from bright sunsets blinding.

autumns pumpkins’ enthusiastic spirit;

excited for that hollows eve stroll.

does it feel like orange?

would it moo?

cocoa colored drink where marshmallows float.

beneath grasses coat, lay dirt;

above a cow is trotting, hooves brushing, and wooden floors are pushing.

a brunette bar of goodness, so delicious!

what makes it brown?

would it bloom?

with sprinkles and frosting on top of youth.

the first times, the first tries on cotton candy dates.

giggles of a princess in a plump dress.

flamingos tender tango like a prom celebration.

as a female guest’ presents an invitation.

what makes it pink?

if purple was now orange

and mimosa’s tasted like lilac.

autumn was a cluster of violet.

grapes tangerine skin, now remastered.

a divide in design, as violets turn orange.

with divine clementines, new purple skin flourishes.

if brown was now pink.

and cherry blossoms flowers were caramel with rosy roots.

a teddy bear is now peachy, appreciating.

before an older kid comes in ripping stuffing, finishing it.

the tongue is stained beige, with refrain but it works the same.

switched my ballet slippers to brown, ate bread that’s pink dyed, now
