Colors of me

Azure the color of hope at my birth

Raven the trauma that stole my self worth.

Golden my soul as I ran in the sun

Amber the path for my feet yet to run.

Lilac my joy for music and song

Ash was the fear of getting things wrong.

Flame was the passion of my young heart’s fire.

Crimson the shame of trusting a liar.

Amazon green my respect for the earth

Scarlet the anger for it’s lack of worth.

Violet my love for the friends I hold dear

Mauve is the pain when the ‘black dog’ is near.

Rose is my heart kissing loved ones goodnight

Black is the void for the one’s who took flight.

Turquoise my hope that the world will find peace

Onyx the grief for a loved one’s release.

Coral for freedom to let it all be
