What is it Here

that keeps you There?

Is it Promises,

or is it Fear?

Things were better

in prior years

but now your broken

and sitting in tears.

Tell me something;

do you still care?

The colored flag waves

proud right Here;

but not so much There.

So come with me

explore with no fear

for you are

accepted right Here.

Wave your colors,

rainbow, blue, pink, or whatever.

Have fun, love whomever,

be proud, stand tall,

“love thy neighbor”.

Isn’t that something preached

yet hardly delivered?

I am straight

my Godmothers are different,

yet I’ll kill for them

so you better have conviction

if you come at them

with hatred and rejection.

Every human deserves acceptance

and I’ll fight for them

with ink, paper, or violence.

I prefer love

but if you refuse to accept all

you deserve to hurt

in all faucets of life.
