Colorful Contradictions

Where is William?

By Anthi BaloukeserlisPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Thou shalt dread, all that red, risk,

The portent despair, anticipate;

A red rose, love suppose, frisk,

A passionate heart, assimilate.

My knowledge numb, the disorder,

Oh, confusion!

My heart undone, I ignore her,

Delusion.

Thou shalt hew, all that blue, sad,

The sorrowful mourn, cruel wicked fate;

A blue sky, a calm sea, glad,

A grateful relief, a soothing state.

My oozing tears, relentless grief,

Oh, dejection!

My tranquil mind, a gentle thief,

Reflection.

Thou shalt prey, all that grey, fear,

The fragile, forlorn, disintegrate;

A grey stone, I've outgrown, dear,

A fruitful delight, exhilarate;

My marrow parched, momentous lie,

Oh, subsistence!

My offspring tall, a joyous cry,

Resistance!
