Colored Bliss

Colors and the King (black)

My limbs are colored

And each color

Gets a part

Of my burden to keep.

I change hands

To suit my work

To suit my mood

And everything in between

Pink is for art

And delicate works

Brown spells ruggedness

And yellow demure

Blue for when I seethe,

To remind me of the calmness

Floating within.

'Black' is my voice

and a void within;

blank space.

Black is a hideous dream,

powerful;

image distorted.

Black is the melodrama

the unintentional nihilism,

yet meaningful;

backfires.

Black is the unwelcome mist

on those deep seated eyes;

scarring, blinding.

Black is my voice,

when I give voice

to lady 'me'.

Black is the fire

that burns

skies,

oceans,

lands,

You.
