Cold Summer

Fourth of July in San Francisco

Twas summer and we took an airplane ride

The heat in Phoenix did drive us away

In San Francisco our time we did bide

For the weather is nicer in the Bay

We roamed the piers and sea creatures we ate

Sea lions put on a great show offshore

Chinatown has many a food that’s great

The pork buns: delicious! Sold by the score

On Fourth of July, we watched from the dock

The wind blew in fierce, we bundled up tight

We waited with crowds, for ten on the clock

The show got started, and lit up the night

That summer we spent, with all fine cuisine

Is the coldest winter I’ve ever seen
