Mulling over the merits of coffee
Or tea?
It’s 3am
and I cannot decide what I need….
Tea is soothing
Tea
With milk, or not
With lemon, or not
There is something timeless
Stable, stalwart--secure
Loving even
So……late afternoon
And coffee—
Well now, that took a bit more thought
Coffee—is just plain dangerous
Dedicated followers
tribal
obsessive black
Americano long or short
Espresso single or double
Flat white
Cappucino, or latte
Flavour…..
Milk on the side, steamed or cold
Add soy skinny bitch shit (like only a virgo could)
Sugar? Oh that devil!
Honey or lemon?
What does it all mean?!?
I can only therefore conclude
That coffee is dangerous
It invites conversation
Alternate universes
And time travel
Dreams of far off destinations
Turkish bazaars
Brazilian rainforests
Deepest darkest Peru
Oh but there is merit in each
For their very own sake
So who are you?
