  • The fog, always surrounding
  • Perpetual blindness, it remains
  • Reaching for that holding hand
  • For anything, a last substance
  • The mist roams all around
  • Blocking, stopping the rays
  • The damp, hard, something cold
  • Heavy within, never without
  • Forever it lasts, so regardless
  • Just a step, a thousand strides
  • Falling behind, too far ahead
  • Home is where I've never been
  • Rest is lost in the pouring rain
  • Crashing waves that never surrender
  • Return, walk back to the new
  • The storm rages on, welcomed.

About the Creator

Jean-François Lamothe

I mainly write fantasy & sci-fi fiction and its neighbouring genres. Writing stories not of this world, I want my words to be an escape. Trying to improve my craft through short stories, though, I hope to write longer works in the future.
