Closer

Old

By Alexander BarronPublished 5 years ago • 1 min read

everyday closer to death,

smell the blood on my breath,

bash in my teeth with a wrench,

falling in love with my demons,

over my heart youll see a stitch,

can't belive im living like this,

let me lay down in a ditch,

everyday further from heaven,

the biggest stranger is my mind,

a devils advocate gold mine,

never at the right time,

always when my mind feels right,

flipped my life into a spiral,

repeating loops of depression,

the only weather in my mind is hail,

depressing therapy sessions,

you took my heart and left me bleeding,

now im thinking what we could've been if we stayed till the end,

now im thinking vile thoughts,

and what I could do to get help,

at least my smile still remains on my face,

even tho my heart died a while ago.
