Clocks (the Minutes and the Hours) by Justin Carol

Patience

Waiting

Time moving slowly

then all at once

The wait is images that grow

losing color at the edges until touched

And clocks can count the minutes

and the hours

but they lie

My spirit recounts movements

of my memories through time

Editing out the center

of the pictures stored away

The moments that I kept

and the thoughts frozen in place

My spirit recounts memories

of movements throughout space

Pacing

Chasing

then passing all at once

Like life is just a dance

that grows like flowers until touched

And clocks can count the minutes

and the hours

but they lie

My memories count movements

of my spirit throughout time
