When the check cleared,
The life of the dollar completely seared
Her mind. The cash she steered
Through what seemed geared.
On her thoughts were smeared
The business deals that speared
Through her consciousness as it appeared
Like the apparition of something weird.
As the hour inched and neared
For her to witness what she feared,
She soon took to the bank and peered.
Her mouth slanted and her eyes leered.
When the teller appeared,
All of a sudden she was hip to it, and veered.
At last, when she soon reared,
The money machine gushed and cheered.
