Christmas Without You

Heartache at Christmas time.

It's not the first Christmas without you

Although it hurts the same.

Grief has been overbearing

Since the dear sweet angels came.

I couldn't believe my ears

That dreadful day I lost you.

My heart shattered into a million pieces

And a part of it went with you.

As the days go by in a blur

Not one goes by I don't think of you.

Many memories we shared together

That much is true.

But as Christmas approaches

And we head into the New Year,

We gather around

For all the holiday cheer.

But it's just not the same

As Christmas day goes by.

We find it hard to be joyous

Even though we try.

So, every year

When December rolls around,

We look up to Heaven

Where we know you can be found.
