Christmas Santa

'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the North Pole,

Elves were working, each one on a roll.

Toys were being crafted with love and with care,

In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.

Santa Claus, the jolly old man,

With a white beard that flowed, as wide as a fan.

In his red suit so merry, and boots shiny black,

He prepared for his journey, a magical track.

His sleigh, bedecked with bells and with bows,

Was pulled by reindeer with red, button-like noses.

Dasher and Dancer, and Prancer and Vixen,

Comet and Cupid, and Donner and Blitzen.

With a twinkle in his eye and a belly so round,

Santa checked his list, not a name to be found.

He chuckled aloud, for he knew all too well,

Who had been naughty and who had been swell.

Down the chimney, he'd slide, with a sack full of cheer,

Leaving gifts for the children, spreading joy far and near.

With a "Ho, ho, ho!" that echoed like chimes,

He delivered his presents countless times.

In homes around the world, families would sleep,

While Santa and his reindeer their silent watch keep.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with glee,

In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be free.

But Santa's true magic wasn't in the presents or toys,

It was in the love he brought to all girls and boys.

For in the spirit of giving, kindness, and joy,

He left behind memories that no one could destroy.

As dawn approached, Santa's work was complete,

He returned to the North Pole, his mission sweet.

With a wink of his eye and a nod of his head,

He gathered his reindeer and to the North Pole, they fled.

And so, the legend of Santa Claus lives on,

A symbol of love and goodwill, never gone.

In the hearts of the young and the young at heart,

The magic of Christmas, a work of art.
