Christmas Poinsettia so bright and bold
Makes our homes feel warm and old
Sits on the window sill with grace
Adding beauty to every space
Its leaves of red make our hearts sing
Adding joy to this festive bring
Its beauty makes our spirits high
Welcoming peace and love nigh
May this plant be a symbol of peace
Signifying love for all to release
May its colors spread far and wide
Bringing hope and joy for every side
So let's embrace this Christmas bloom
Adding cheer to every room
May its beauty and fragrance blend
Creating a memory that never ends.

The Solstice in Bad Gumption
βHow do we go about it?β The group of three men and one boy shifted from foot to foot around a bonfire spluttering sparks in the bone chilling drizzle, a few hefty stones sitting amid the flames. They were thinking about all the time it took to get it going in this weather. Someone sniffed, someone coughed. They all felt cold and uneasy standing at the edge of the fields sprawling in front of them in the dusk, with their backs to the dripping birches surrounding the cemetery.
