This poem serves as an exhortation to believers not to be so focused on prospering themselves while men die in their sins. There is a cloud of witnessess cheering us on to share the way of everlasting life with those around us.

Can you hear deep groanings

As tears are falling from the sky

It's not that hope is gone

It's that God, too, is asking why

Not why did this happen

But why do some fill up their hands

And raise high their empires

In the front yards of dying men

And He says:

"Look around you; look around you

So many are seeking Living Water

So many are seeking the Living Way

You know the way; don't keep it to yourself

You wait for Me, but it's your move to help"

We have filled pages with notes

We have run the highlighters dry

Feasting off the wisdom

Of how to better our own life

Now it's time to pour our drink

Into the cups of thirsty men

For people are destroyed

By lacking the how, and why, and when

Look to Heaven; look to Heaven

So many are cheering you on

So many are begging you go

You know the way, and on one certain day

God will ask what you did with what you know
