In the heat of existence
Between heaven and hell
That strives for persistence
Until the untimely final bell
All things matter to those who wait
For the battle is always raging on
Decide for yourself where you'll stand at which gate
And linger not in this life, trying to avoid being gone
For he who reaps the desert's dark wrath
Feels not the pangs of such sorrow
Lest ye be one who seeks out the wretched path
Forsaking it and a peaceful tomorrow
Raise thy hand toward none unworthy of your pain
And bring not about the sweet release for any
Let them feel the pity of the dark rain
For their folly has hurt the many
Be wary of silent nights with too much solitude
Already a loner's path does one as you walk
Be prepared for those days when you'll be booed
Worry not about how others talk
And stand proudly before the ones who know your plight
Appreciate their knowing glances
For they too have stumbled into the same fight
Many have had such chances
Delight in the deed once it is done
But take no pleasure in the task
Be not always one who's on the run
Even after fulfilling such a harsh ask
Live for the moment in which the better is here
Knowing that all tasks were for that goal
Let not the world corrupt you through your ear
For they know not the price of risking one's soul
Sometimes, the greater good must be served by man
Even when none other than you has the courage
Making such a call doesn't make you a bad man
Just don't let the opinions of others discourage
