Chocolate coated caramel perfection

The many shades of me

I was invited to a fabulously flamboyant masquerade ball

I came accompanied by Le Chocolat, Frozen haute, Swarovski

Studded, The Golden Speckled and Knipschildt. Chocolates

Of the most extreme varieties extraordinaire, I might add

The hosts had spared no expense, oh my! What extravagance

By all the Gods upon Olympus, what a most alluring sight

A special place had been assigned for me, a lovely golden fountain

Tell us about yourself, someone cooed. They all seemed a little too

Immersed in the quality, style and taste of my hues, tones and texture

Being most delighted to oblige an audience so entertaining

I described to them the inner peace of living within my skin

"I am made of pure unadulterated dark Chocolate", said I

"My tears flow in cascading waterfalls of sweetness

Bon bons, Fondants, toffee and caramel swirl at my feet

In my dreams, I flow like a raging river of everlasting brown shades

The deeper I dive, the more I discover the hidden depths within me

I am, you see; a black Goddess content, happy in my own skin

I possess hidden depths, so complex, I may just cause you vertigo"

"My dear I love your absolute vivaciousness, your panache". Hera laughed

"How delectably delicious", purred Athena, "I just might take a bite"

"I too, am contemplating chocolate's many virtues, by the Gods she looks

So absolutely stunning, vibrant and vividly eye-catching, pure eye candy"

Goodness, I blushed, Thor was certainly in his element tonight, oh my!

Heimdall, that gorgeous black skinned God, Gatekeeper of the entire realm

Made my heart throb ever so loudly within my breast, I could not breathe

He just stood there quietly, feral fire in his eyes burning holes in my soul

My chocolate feet all but melted, his gaze purely devouring and lethal

Sif and the warriors three came close to peer and sample my fare

Their eager hands reaching out, clawing at my dripping, melting goodness

Loki, that bad boy of all the Gods. Well, he just glowered and growled

I didn't care. The Gods, they all loved me, admired me, praised me

But wait,....what is happening...why are they all converging upon me?

They bite, the tear, they rip, they are positively devouring me. Stop!

Stay away from me. Stop. They just could not help themselves

I am perfection wrapped in rich dark chocolate and caramel

Did I not say so?

Not even the Gods can resist my sweetness, allure and many flavors

Alas! I am no more.
