In my childhood domestic, where chuckling filled the discuss,

Straightforward joys anticipated on the table with care,

Recollections of suppers, past compare.

Warm hotcakes welcomed me each morning's light,

With syrupy sweetness, a immaculate enchant,

Mom's uncommon touch, a taste fair right.

Summer picnics brought sandwiches with a crunch,

Shelled nut butter and jam, a classic lunch,

Shared with companions, within the terrace, we'd crunch.

Apple pies, new from the oven's grasp,

Filled the kitchen with a magnificent beauty,

Mom's mystery formula, no other might supplant.

Buttery popcorn, for motion picture evenings so terrific,

We'd accumulate 'round, the total family band,

Sharing stories, as bits popped on command.

And as the a long time passed, those flavors remained,

Implanted in my heart, recollections imbued,

Childhood dinners, until the end of time maintained.

In spite of the fact that time may alter, and life may move on,

The taste of childhood waits solid,

In each dish, where adore had a place.
