The words that no one wants to hear,
Your husband needs to have chemotherapy come out of the mouth of the doctor at the start of December,
Chemotherapy killed our Christmas spirit of 2022,
He started Chemotherapy the week before Christmas,
Like clockwork every week it is time for another treatment,
Get his bags ready to sit for 3 hours as the chemotherapy,
Filled with snacks and puzzles he will do and the same for me also to sit and wait for him.
Drip, Drip, the chemotherapy goes in time to pack up and mark another off the calendar,
Slowly the months go by, but wait what do our eyes see in a few days,
It's May that can only mean one thing,
Two more treatments to go on May 15, 2023,
6 months have come and gone,
This will be our Christmas gift this year a year with out chemotherapy every other week.

When We Were Very Young
In another box set that my parents got me when I was younger contained four books by A.A. Milne. 'When We Were Very Young' is a collection of poems that Milne wrote for his son Christopher Robin. This is a book that is full of references to Mr. Edward Bear, but a lot of the poems give some various descriptions of life of a very young child and where, when, how and why they do what they do. The illustrations are quite cute for you can see what Christopher Robin is and may be thinking. Also, Pooh Bear does make his self-known at various points. I have read these verses many, many times over the years and each time make me feel good about myself.
