Changing Times

Memories in the night never fade

Changing Times

The morning changes softly now,

the light moves calm across my room,

the world shifts gently under me,

and time breathes quiet at my side.

The hours drift like gentle rain,

they fall then fade before I speak,

and all the days I used to know,

seem further now with every breath.

The streets I walk have lost their noise,

the laughter blends into the wind,

and faces pass like fleeting clouds,

gone quickly as they came to me.

I hold the memories I can find,

the ones that warm me when it’s dark,

and in the stillness of the night,

they shine like lanterns by my heart.

The world grows older as I do,

yet somehow moves a step ahead,

and I keep learning as I go,

to meet the changes where they rise.

Some moments fall without a sound,

they land like whispers on my skin,

and others stay like gentle songs,

that hum beneath my quiet thoughts.

The nights stretch wide beneath the sky,

a calming space that lets me breathe,

and in that peace I see myself,

still holding on through shifting days.

Tomorrow waits behind the light,

a place where hope begins again,

and though the future feels unknown,

I walk toward it without fear.

Change is not here to break my path,

it shapes the person I become,

and every step I take with it,

adds something steady to my soul.

So here I stand in gentle air,

the moving world beneath my feet,

and in the hush of changing times,

I find my strength and carry on.
