She takes every opportunity that comes knocking as a sign.
A sign of a better tomorrow than today.
Or a sign of a better yesterday.
Either way she takes it, but no one knows why.
Only she does.
And she does it because...
She doesn’t want to have the regrets that her ancestors hold.
Living poor in the aches of each yesterday.
She doesn’t want to have the regrets that were trickled down
Upon every soul that entered her bloodline.
And she tries it even though it might not work for her.
It is the regret of not knowing that scares her.
Scared by the bittersweet taste of missing out on better.
And when she goes missing they think she's out of order.
She is not.
Her time and mind is occupied by the flustered worries
Of missing out and getting too old.
She refuses to be a missing piece in history
Or to be part of a story that is never told.
