Ginger furry skin

Sits the chunky cat

Delightfully sweet

He purs and stares.

By Rafael Ishkhanyan on Unsplash

The grey fat cat licks his coat wet

Cleaning himself expertly

The cat loves his furs

As he deepens his purs.

Black cats are slick

Their claws stick

To anything they pick

As they walk on by

Looking for a quick trick.

Meowing for a meal

A cat runs indoors

From a day out hunting

In the cold wintry rain

They eat hungrily

They sit by the fire

Or on their master's lap

Keen to have a nap.
