Catch Me

If I fall in love it will be forever.

By Stephanie Marley McMechanPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

Free falling over a raging sea

No net for safety, nothing to save me

No need to weep, no need to fear

For the sea holds my heart

Dancing on thin ice

No fear of the coldness, no rope

Nothing to stop my slow demise

Because my love dwells inside

Falling into the fiery furnace

Flames ignite the sleeping passion

And set ablaze my desires

Love has set me on fire

Falling is not the thing I fear

It is fine to totter on the brink, the very edge

of something more than earthly pleasures hold

If only you will catch me in the end, my dear

I would have found a worth more precious than gold.
