Tales of a Cat and His Beloved Kitty Mom

Cat Mom,

Well, who is she?

She rises with the tickle of a whisker upon her face

Kitty chirps in the air

It is time to eat!

Trot, trot, trot, MEOW!

With blurry eyes, she scoops the beloved food

A wet nose helping the back of her hand

“Come on, Mom, you slept past the sun!”

The chow clanks the against the bowl

Crunching ensues with the rumble of a purr between chews

Cat Mom starts the day with a clean face and fresh socks

The birds entertain the cats

They mingle in a post-breakfast bath

Cat Mom sips coffee and glides through the pages of stories new and old

The sun brings an audience of sleepy kitties

In the late morning, popping about begins

Meows for the lost jingle ball

Paws as loud as elephants running above

Cat Mom heads out with her shoulder bag

It’s time for kitty naps in the quiet abode

Neighborhood bustling draws the point of some ears

Cat Mom is home and cries for dinner begin

Cat Mom cooks with a shadow beneath her

Zig-zagging through the feet of Chef Cat Mom

Full bellies and clean fur, it’s time for the best part of the day

Time for a big, long nap with Cat Mom

A few head-butts and hammer paws on her back

A couple of pillow-shuffling moments

Cat Mom fires up the hot-pad and snuggles begin

Afterall, a kitty needs good rest before starting the next day with Cat Mom
