Castle In The Sky

I’ve heard there is a castle in the sky,

where all souls are safe and flowers never die.

It’s total peace and harmony,

and up there rests a part of me.

The castle in the sky lays just out of reach,

where no plane or rocket could ever breach.

It’s made of pearlescent clouds and melted gold,

it stands sentry in the sky, proud and bold.

-

You won't ever see the castle in the sky,

not from down here, no matter how hard you try.

But close your eyes and trust in me,

I'm as sure as the waves rolling in the great blue sea.

-

For the castle in the sky is home to ones I love,

those who have travelled to that utopia above.

They grew great white wings and took flight,

up into the sky and out of sight.

-

The castle in the sky is now their home,

where the whole of paradise is theirs to roam.

There is no sorrow or suffering there,

no pain or injustice and everything is fair.

-

That castle in the sky floats just out of sight,

and though you may try with all your might,

you cannot visit it before your time,

as there are no stairs or vines to climb.

-

But never fear, the castle in the sky waits for you,

with its endless beauty and perfect view.

All of those dear ones you miss,

wait for you there in eternal bliss.

-

But once you go to the castle in the sky,

you must wish those still here goodbye.

For your first trip up will be your last,

so you must say farewell and make peace with the past.

-

Don't be scared of the castle in the sky,

do not worry or begin to cry.

There is no need to linger in pain,

for you will see those you leave behind again.

There is a castle in the sky where my heart calls,

with it's sun drenched grass and honey water falls.

It’s just left of the moon and right of the sun,

I’ll see you there when our time here is done.
